Christopher Allen is an entrepreneur and technologist who specializes in collaboration, security, and trust. As a pioneer in internet cryptography, he’s initiated cross-industry collaborations and created industry standards that influence the entire internet.
Christopher started his career in 1984 as the Founder, CEO & President of Dreams of the Phoenix, a leading publisher in the early Macintosh software industry. It published seven award-winning retail software products. From 1989-1995, he was a Mac Developers Forum Leader at AOL. From 1998-1999, he served as the Chief technology officer. In 2007, Allen co-founded one of the most influential iOSDevCamp and hosted it's hackathon for 7 years. From 2012 to 2015, he served as the Co-Founder and Interim CTO at ReOrient Media, where he led strategy, technology & product development, and user experience. From 2014-2015, Allen was a VP Developer Relations at Blackphone.
In 2015. Allen became a Instructional Designer at Blockchain University. From 2016 to 2018. he served as a Principal Architect at Blockstream. In 2018. he created Blockchain Commons, founded with the goal of supporting Blockchain infrastructure and the broader security industry. Since 2003.
