Christine Sandler is a sales and trading executive based out of New York City. Sandler is currently the Director of Institutional Sales at Coinbase, a digital asset exchange company. She was previously the Head of Equity Electronic Sales in the Americas at Barclays Investment Bank and the Global Head of Sales at NYSE Euronext.

In March 2018, Christine Sandler was hired as the Director of Institutional Sales at Coinbase, a digital asset exchange company. Sandler is leading Coinbase's institutional business, which has been building out Coinbase Prime, a prime brokerage business aimed at getting large firms onto Coinbase's platform. Coinbase recently onboarded a $20 billion hedge fund onto its platform, according to Business Insider sources. In this role, she reports to Adam White, the general manager of GDAX, Coinbase's institutional-grade exchange platform.
Sandler has been an Advisor to the Long Term Stock Exchange (LTSE) since 2017.
The LTSE is stock exchange designed with the goal of reducing short-term pressure and incentive companies to focus on producing long term value creation.
From 2014-2016, Sandler was a Managing Director at Barclays Investment Bank and their Head of Equity Electronic Sales in the Americas. She lead the bank's cross-selling efforts and new business generation throughout their US equities business. Sandler also lead their electronic sales efforts, post-regulatory transition and enabled the organization to regain 50% of lost market share over 18 months.
Prior to Barclays, Sandler was Executive Vice President and Head of Global Sales at NYSE Euronext from 2007-2013. In this role, she reported to CEO Duncan Niederauer, and a member of the organization’s global management committee. Over the course of six years, Christine was tasked with generating global revenue and implemented a transformational shared service approach to sales while focusing on aggressive cost reduction. Under her tenure, profits exceeded $1 billion annually, while costs fell by 11%, exceeding company targets. Sandler was chosen by the CEO to lead a global cross-functional team focused on deepening the organization’s customer relationships. Christine drove efforts to implement Salesforce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system globally, and established a company-wide measurement standard, Net Promoter Score (NPS.) Along with establishment of a metric, client query technology was developed. As a result, NPS improved from -47 to +15 over three years.
From 2006-2007, Sandler served as Managing Director and Head of Electronic Sales at Merrill Lynch following the acquisition of Wave Securities LLC. Revenue and active accounts grew by 300% under her leadership, representing an example of revenue acceleration through change, a central theme present throughout Christine’s career.
From 2000-2006, Sandler led sales efforts at Archipelago LLC, driving market share gains from 2% to 18%.
Christine was selected to spearhead revenue efforts for the first affiliate broker of a national securities exchange, Wave Securities. Wave was named “Top NASDAQ Broker” by Institutional Investor Magazine, 2005-2006. Christine was an instrumental member of the strategy team tasked with selling Wave Securities to Merrill Lynch in 2006 and remained as Head of Electronic Sales. Prior to her sales career, Christine actively traded on the buy-side and on a proprietary basis this experience served to reinforce her commitment to evolving the end-to-end customer experience.
Sandler worked in Sales at Bloomberg Tradebook from 1998-2000. While at a Bloomberg Tradebook, she was their #1 unit producer.
She previously worked as a Proprietary Trader at Spear Leads & Kellogg from 1993-1996 and a Trader at W.H. Reaves & Co from 1989-1993.
Angel Investing
Christine Sandler has angel invested in several startup companies. In 2016 she invested in the seed round for DRAFT, a fantasy sports betting company, which was acquired by Paddy Power Betfair for $48 million in May 2017. She also invested in WeDidIt, a fundraising platform for nonprofits. Sandler was an angel investor in Weft a logistics intelligence platform which was acquired by Genscape a Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) for an undisclosed amount in June 2016. [1]

Since January 2017, Christine Sandler has been a Board Member and Trustee at NYC Autism Charter School, the first public charter school in New York devoted solely to children with autism. From 2015-2016, she was the Chair of the Women in Finance Committee at the Security Traders Association. Sandler previously served a Board Member and the President of the Security Traders Association of New York (STANY) from 2008-2012.
Awards
In November 2013, Christine Sandler received the Wall Street Women 2013, Excellence in Leadership Award from Trader's Magazine.
In October 2013, Diversity Journal honored Sandler as one of their Women Worth Watching in 2014.
Sandler was recognized as part of the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders in 2008.
