Christiane Northrup, MD, for over 25 years has been a visionary pioneer and beloved authority in the field of women’s health and wellness. A board-certified Ob/gyn Physician who graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and did her residency at Tufts New England Medical Center, Dr. Northrup was also an assistant clinical professor of OB/GYN at Maine Medical Center for 20 years.

Background

Northrup is considered a visionary and authority in Women's health and wellness. By providing spiritual support and awareness in her writings in which she teaches about unity of mind, body, emotions, and spirit, she has become internatioanlly known for empowring women at every stage of life. She has been a physician for over 25 years and is now a well-known international writer and speaker. Her books have been translated into 24 languages.

She gained naitonal attention for her first edition in 1994 for her book, Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom. This groundbreaking classic quickly became a New York Times bestseller and has been the veritable bible of women’s health for nearly two decades. With its raw facts and intriguing case histories, Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom explains exactly how to “create physical and emotional health and healing.” Since then she has written succesful books that help women with their health.

Her work has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, The View, Rachael Ray, Good Morning America, 20/20, and The Dr. Oz Show.

She loves to dance Tango, going to the movies, Exercising, and spending time with her daughters and friends. She also likes to go out on her boat and read.
