Christian Escriba
Christian Escriba (Age 49 years old) is a forth generational pastry chef from the most famous family owned pastry boutique, called "Pasteleria Escriba" in Barcelona. He is good at his pastry skills in designing beautiful cakes and other dishes.
Personal life
Christian Escribá is the son of "Antonio Escribá," a prestigious and well known pastry chef who encouraged him to be creative and master the act.
He began his apprenticeship at the young age of 16 years old where he worked alongside the great master of Pasteleria Mora in Barcelona. In the following year, he went to Paris to work alongside his mother’s father who also a patissier where he gain a lot of Knowledge and experience.
Christian discovered his passion and talent at an early stage of his life.
Before he return to Barcelona in 1982, he went ahead to developed his culinary skills with prestigious French kitchens icon known as "Dalloyau, L’Auberge Peraudin", and "L’Homar à la Crème".
Career
Christian have worked in several establishments in the city of lights, before traveling to Vienna and finally back to Barcelona to help in the family business.
He is a chef who never says no to any order when it comes to business and satisfaction, no matter how impossible it may look like. He is the owner of the famous "Escribà bakeries" in Barcelona. A pastry shop in the historic Casa Figueras on the Rambla, now the “in”.
Christian was the first to create the first-ever pastry showroom in Europe, where he easily share and show his latest creations to his prestigious clientele. He is one of the best of spectacle-pastry for great events, with a large and beautiful exhibition hall in one of his two stores. Christian’s Candy-Glam rings sweet creations are displayed in Parisian departmental stores in their jewelry sections.
Awards
He was also awarded a gold medal at the competition for Young Pastry Chefs held in Deauville and also won first prize for the best and creative artistic showpiece at the international food trade show, Alimentaria in Barcelona. Christian was awarded National Gastronomy Award for Best Pastry Chef in August 2017.
Activities
Christian is often invited to seminars to give out knowledge (experiences and skills) at the "Gastronomic Conferences" in Spain and abroad. Most of the place he give his expertise advice are "Madrid Fusión", "Dulce Fusión", "Andalucía Sabor in Seville", "Gastronómika in San Sebastián", "Festival Culinario in Fez", "Mesa Tendencias in Brasil", "Bcn Vanguardia", "Mercats of Barcelona" and "Sweet Llambion de Avilés" .
