Chris Lonardo is an American computer programmer with an expertise in trading, portfolio management, and strategy development. He is also an investor proficient in coding and programming, often building backtesting and analytical systems in order to have ownership of a project he is a part of. He has worked for J. P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley.

Lonardo is graduate of Stony Brook University where he is remembered for his activities as the captain of the fencing team and the photo editor of the college's publications, Stony Brook Statesman and Stony Brook Independent. He was also a part of the College of Leadership and Service, AIDS task force, Resident Assistance, and the treasurer of the Sports Club Council.
He graduated from the college with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and business.
Career
For many years, Lonardo has worked as a risk and strategic consultant as well as analyst for J. P. Morgan, later JPMorgan Chase. For several years he worked on several projects from compliance risk reviews to new infrastructure implementations. He also handled daily monitoring on accounts across all asset classes. Years later, he would work closely with the CFO and CEO to report, analyze, and present business management information.
At Credit Suisse he was an associate in prime services.
He was in charge of the balance sheet, risk, and liquidity management for leading prime brokerage business.
As a Senior Portfolio Manager at Glass Capital Research Inc, he designed and implemented market algorithmic and discretionary equity & volatility arb strategies based on market sentiment and other concepts in behavioral finance.
At Morgan Stanley, he was the senior engineer, where he built and implemented large risk analytics application for prime brokerage clients in TypeScript and AngularJS.
Coalytics
In 2014, Chris started his own company/startup called Coalytics along with his long time friend, Mitchell Fourman.
His partner, Jean Ee Tang, was also a part of the team.
Initially, he started Coalytics to help with the electronic record-keeping of the healthcare industry.
JPMorgan Chase
Years later, he would return to JPMorgan and Chase as the Vice President and Software Engineering lead.
He led development and delivery of React and AngularJS applications across fixed income and liquidity businesses, including a key trading and portfolio management tool for corporate clients.
BTIG
He is currently the Director of the Global Portfolio and ETF Trading at BTIG.
Everipedia
Lonardo previously worked in software development at Everipedia. He worked on the front end and editor as well as some of the more complicated problems related to scalability. He is not an active developer at Everipedia at the moment.
