Chris Galya born 23 August 1987 in New Jersey, is an actor, model, and a Social media celebrity, probably best known for appearing in the “JESSIE” TV series.
Early Life
Chris was born on 23rd August 1987 and raised in New Jersey by his father who is a lawyer, and his mother who is a waitress working at a local bar not far from Chris’ former home.
He grew up being interested in acting, and joined his high school’s drama club as soon as he enrolled there, while he was also playing baseball and tennis.
As he was never a fan of spending his free time at home, after school he would either hang out with his friends, or sit in the café where his mother was working and study there.
He was spotted by a modelling scout while attending his senior year, launching his career as a model, so after matriculation Chris didn’t enroll at college, but rather pursued a career in acting as well as modelling.
Personal
Chris is very stylish and a bit of a Shopaholic, as he goes shopping for clothes almost every day. He is fan of glasses, has numerous and believes these make him look interesting and elegant. He is a huge lover of animals and has a pet Pug dog, and often uploads pictures of the two of them together onto his Instagram account.
He is very sporting, he began taking boxing lessons at the age of 16, and has only recently stopped.
He grew up playing tennis and basketball as well, which he stopped playing after matriculating from high school, but has recently began practicing once again with his friends and colleagues.
He dated his high school sweetheart for several years.
The two first met in 2003 while they were both attending their third year.
They continued dating after the girl left the state to study in New York, however, after half a year she found another boyfriend and she and Chris split.
Chris met Heather Catania at a party organized only for the people acting in a movie he was appearing, Heather was working as achoreographer for the film. They chatted nearly throughout the entire party, exchanged phone numbers, and began dating not long after that. It is believed that the two have been together for several years now, are not engaged, and are apparently planning to move in together.
He also enjoys swimming in a pool, and running both on a treadmill and outdoors in a park; he likes to ride his bike, to surf, and to skateboard.
Career
Chris made his debut appearance in 2008 in the “Momma’s Man” moody but touching movie, which is described as ‘illustrates with elegant simplicity the struggles of a man consumed by his adolescence’.
The movie won several awards, and although Chris played a tiny role as Teen Boy 2, he was still praised for his performance.
In 2011 Chris was invited to portray Tom in the “1313: Actor Splash Model” drama thriller film which follows Jerry, an actor, who decides to kill a few male models at a film producer’s house, after losing a role to a guy who looks good with his shirt off.
In the same year, he began portraying Tony Chiccolini in the “JESSIE” family comedy TV series, which follows a Texan teen as she moves to New York City to follow her dreams, and ends up working as a nanny, taking care of a high profile couple’s four children.
The series stars Pamela Ryan, Peyton List and Cameron Boyce, with Chris a member of the main cast until the series ended in 2015.
He went on to appear in an episode of the “Piper’s QUICK Picks” talk-show, which stars Piper Reese, Bella Thorne, and Celeste Kellogg, while one of his latest appearances has been in the “Acting Dead” Emmy Award winning horror comedy TV series in 2014, which follows Tate Blodgett (Brian Beacock) who is a zombie, and Alex Carbonneaux (Killian Clare) who is a ghost as they both struggle with their new afterlives.
In 2017, he appeared in the “Dead Trigger” action horror science fiction movie, which follows the “Dead Trigger” game which mirrors the terrifying events happening in the world which is overrun by zombies, who have been turned from humans by a mysterious virus.
Before the launch of his career at the age of 12 in 1999, Chris voiced one of the characters in the “Family Guy” animated TV series, which follows the life of a very strange family whose members seem to have some mental problems, and are trying their best to work on these.
