Chris Bey

Chris Bey (born February 13, 1996) is an American professional wrestler based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. He has performed in a variety of independent promotions across the United States, and on February 18, 2020 it was announced that Bey officially joined the IMPACT! Wrestling roster.[8][9]

Career

He trained at Las Vegas' Future Stars of Wrestling and started his professional wrestling career in 2017 as Chris Strong. One of his first matches was against Eric Watts under the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood promotion. The event took place at the Oceanside Pavillion in Port Hueneme, California in May of 2017.[13][47]

Bey has performed in a variety of matches including tag team bouts, ladder matches, and fatal four ways. Notable tag teams include The Bag Boyz and Double Platinum, with Suede Thompson.[12]

Championship Titles

He is the current WAC Champion (Without A Cause Wrestling) and has held the title since August of 2019.

Wrestling Promotions

Bey has performed in various wrestling matches across North America. He has competed in the following promotions:[15]

Bar Wrestling

Bey has participated in many matches under the Bar Wrestling promotion. His first match was against Jungle Boy at Bar Wrestling 44: I Was In The Pool. The event took place at the Bootleg Theatre location in Downtown Los Angeles.[16]

IMPACT! Wrestling

He has also wrestled in a number of matches under IMPACT! Wrestling, beginning with his debut bout against The Rascalz in a tag team match with partner Mike Sydal.

On February 18, 2020 it was officially announced that Chris Bey had joined the IMPACT! Wrestling promotion and became an official member of the roster. The news was announced in the evening following a live taping of the show.[9][19]

Hours prior to the announcement, news that Cody Rhodes from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was considering signing Bey also surfaced from a media teleconference on wresting news sites.[20]

Personal Life

Chris comes from Alexandria, Virginia.

He attended West Potomac High School and graduated in 2014. He then worked briefly in construction.

Social Media

On Twitter Bey has amassed over 13,200 followers on the platform as of April 2020. On the account he promotes his latest wrestling venture, interacts with his fanbase, and posts pictures from his travels.[8]

His Instagram has over 11,500 followers. He uploads selfies, in-ring photos, and performance videos.[35]

Chris also has a YouTube channel with over 4,200 subscribers. On the profile he uploads fitness videos, vlogs, and footage from his wrestling matches. The most-viewed video is a 2008 video of a young Chris unboxing a new skateboard, titled "Unboxing My New Skateboard From CCS".[34]
