The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation is a nonprofit organization of Chipotle Mexican Grill. It starts inititatives to improve philanthropic efforts on behalf of the company.
Overview
The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation was founded in 2011 by Chipotle Mexican Grill. It was established to create humanitarian initiatives for a more sustainable food future.[3]
They provide resources and promote philanthropic and ethical agricultural and organizational practices.[3]
History
On June 25, 2019, Chipotle announced their launch of a crew bonus program that gives hourly employees the opportunity to earn up to an extra month's pay each year.[4]
On October 15, 2019, it announced it willprovide the opportunity for employees to pursue a debt-free college degree.
They stated it will be through an expansion of their Chipotle Cultivate Education benefits program.[1][5] To be eligble for the program, employees must work at least 15 hours a week, work for at least 120 days at Chipotle, and stay at least six months after obtaining their degree.[6] They can choose between 75 different degree programs at five schools:
Bellevue University
Brandman University
Wilmington University
Southern New Hampshire University
