Chester 'Chet' Marlon Hanks (born August 4, 1990) is a singer, songwriter and actor. He is the son of Hollywood actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. ^[1]

Chet was born in Los Angeles, California on August 4, 1990. His mother is singer, songwriter, actor and producer Rita Wilson. Tom Hanks, popular Hollywood actor, is his father. Chet has two half siblings, Colin Hanks and Elizabeth Ann Hanks from Tom Hank's previous marriage to actress Samantha Lewes. Chet also has a younger brother named Truman.^[20]

At the 77th annual Golden Globes Chet Hanks made headlines when on the red carpet he uploaded a video to his Instagram speaking in Patois with the caption,^[28]

The footage confused many viewers, but resulted in his mother, Rita Wilson writing that it was 'Maybe the best laugh of the night.

Hanks is a songwriter, singer and rapper who has gone by the name Chet Haze. He is currently involved in a pop rap duo called Something Out West that is composed of Chet and fellow musician Drew Arthur. The duo previously went by the name FTRZ.^[25][26][27]

On January 7, 2020 the two dropped a new track titled 'Harley' from Something Out West's Soundcloud.^[24]
