Chelsea Ingram born 13th October 1988, in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, is an American meteorologist who has achieved stardom by working for CBS 3 Philadelphia, after working for several television stations, including WFFF/WVNY, WJZ-TV, and others.

She has a younger brother named Terry, with whom she spent her childhood in native Raleigh.

Early on in her childhood, she had been interested in beauty pageants and took part in a number of contests.

she participated and won the 2007 and 2012 beauty pageants.

She participated in the Miss North Carolina contest in 2012 and won where she has crowned Miss Vermont as well as other cash prizes. This title earned her fame and recognition as well as commercial contracts.

She attended Lyndon State College, Vermont, finishing a course in Broadcasting, and after graduation, she enrolled at North Carolina University, from which she obtained a master’s degree in Environmental Science in Meteorology, then continued studies at Johns Hopkins University.

Chelsea has had the opportunity to see environmental changes first-hand.

She recently spent time doing field research in Newfoundland and Labrador where she studied environmental, social, economical and geological changes that have occurred across the province and across North America.

Educating the public on environmental solutions is very important to Chelsea and she is honored to be 1 of 10 journalists selected as a 2019 Fellow with Climate Matters in the Newsroom.

She visits Ocean City often and loves hiking through Maryland’s beautiful state parks.

Chelsea currently resides in Ellicott City, Maryland with her husband, Mike ^[1] and the two have been married since 10th April 2016. They don’t have children, but have adopted a dog who they named Doppler.

Before she started considering a career in Meteorology, Chelsea participated in a few beauty pageants, ultimately winning the Miss Vermont pageantry after which she received a chance to compete for Miss North Carolina title, however, she didn’t have much luck in this competition.

During her college days, Chelsea started working as an operational meteorologist for V-Trans, the Vermont Department of Transportation.

It was in 2010 that she officially secured her first professional job, named broadcast meteorologist for WTVD. For the next two years she held the position before moving over to WFFF/WVNY in Burlington, and a year later, became a member of the meteorologist crew of WJZ-TV, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.

Gradually Chelsea’s career was improving and she was taking huge steps forward – during her time at WJZ she became one of the most praised personalities at the station, however, four years after she first joined the network, Chelsea abruptly decided to leave her post.

Nevertheless, this turned out to be a smart career move, since she then joined CBS KYW-TV, and is a part of the CBS 3 Eyewitness News.
