Early Life
Chase Dalton Rose popularly known as ChaseTheMoney hails from St. Louis, Missouri, a city whose main economic driver is its manufacturing sector. He was the last child of the four children in the family. He lives a decent life while growing up because he was brought up by his mom and dad. He grew up loving music having listening to a lot of Wham, George Micheal, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG, Erykah Badu, Faith Evans and the '70s and '80s funk being played by his mother.
ChaseTheMoney determined to go into production of beats at a very young age without having a plan B. Because of his dedication to music he didn't care about pursuing a formal education:
I didn't apply to college.
I'ma educate myself, I'ma learn this business on my own.
If I need to go back to school, it's always gonna be there.
I've never had no plan B. Plan A was making music work.
Make it work.
Make your career come to life.
Everything I done dreamed of, it came to life
He moved to Chicago when he was 18 years old because he felt there was more opportunity for him there. His movement later turned to a big blessing because he met the likes of Z-Money, Valee, Andrew Barber, and TY from Shade 45. This set of people had an impact in moving his career to the nect level.[2]
Career
So far, Valee has been his best collaborator since 2015 and both of them have worked on a good number of tracks including 11:11, 11:12, 1:11, VTM and his singles titled "ChaseTheMoney" in which Z- Money also featured in. He has also worked with the Dreamville team on (Revenge of The Dream III) ROTD3.
2017 was an epic year for him and it ended on a high note with his production getting placed on Chance the Rapper and Jeremih’s project ‘Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama: Re-Wrapped’ for the song “Are You Live” .
Chase is still pressing forward and still has many hits in the vault including more tracks with Valee, Lil Wop, and Jeremih. However, his goals are set even higher hoping to expand his network to collaborate with rappers such as 2 Chainz, Future, and Gucci Mane. [3]
