Charlotte Philipps
Charlotte Philipps is a managing director involved in the investment advisory activities of Xenon Capital Partners, a boutique investment firm focused on the Russian energy sector.
She joined Xenon in 2010 from PineBridge Investments, the former AIG Investments, where she built and led AIG's private-equity platform for the Commonwealth of Independent States, investing in retail, media and oil and gas projects.
Prior to AIG, at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Philipps was responsible for some of the largest transactions executed by the intergovernmental organization.
Among them were financing the $4.5 billion Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and Lakshmi Mittal's investment in Karmet, a Kazakhstan-based steel mill, as well as an investment in SOCAR, the state oil company of Azerbaijan.
She holds a law degree from Munich State University and is qualified as a German solicitor and judge.
