Chance Rivero was a 19-year-old from Vero Beach, Florida. ^[1]

Chance grew up in Vero Beach and attended Vero Beach High School. He went on to study Welding/Fabrication at Indian River State College and worked as a welder for Pheonix Metal Products. In his free time, he enjoyed being around friends and family. Chance is remembered for his work ethic and kindness towards others. ^[1]

Chance was in a motorboat with 6 other people in the Indian River when it hit channel marker, sending Chance and another person, Michael Ketcham, in the water.

They were taken to shore and transported to the hospital where Chance died of blunt force trauma.
