His mother played piano and guitar as well and his father taught him how to make mixes from vinyl and play them on cassette tapes.
In middle school, he learned how to play drums, but was discouraged how it was hard to bring a band together.
In high school, he was a fan of Nine Inch Nails and Aphex Twin, the latter of which sparked his interest in electronic music. At the age of 15, he began producing electronic music on his parents' computer.
Music Career

For 10 years, Pool produced Drum and bass music under the name SPL to considerable success. Feeling like he pushed SPL to its sonic boundaries and wanting to create a newer bass sound, in 2014, Pool started creating music secretly under the name Champagne Drip so he would not get compared to his older music. Initially, he started releasing remixes such as Bassnectar's "You and Me" and Zeds Dead & Diplo's "Blame." More traction was gained after releasing several EPs, including “Poseidon” via Quality Goods Records and “Of Course I Still Love You” via Saturate Records. [1] In the summer of 2016, he hit the festival circuit performing across the US at Mysteryland, WTFest?, Imagine, Enchanted Forest, and Lights All Night. He also released the stand alone single “Open Your Eyes”, which was featured on the official Bernie Sanders Presidential campaign fundraising compilation “Rave4Bernie”. [1]
In the summer of 2017, Champagne Drip released the Millenium EP under Zeds Dead's Deadbeats Records. [1]
With a substantial following on social media, as of July 2017, Champagne Drip had over 17.5K followers on SoundCloud, 2K followers on Instagram, 2K followers on Twitter, and nearly 6K likes on Facebook. [1]
