Chad Dermyer was an American police officer from Richmond, Virginia. He attended Columbia Central High School. He was married.
Death
On March 31, 2016 Trooper Dermyer tragically lost his life by a gun man who shot at him, James Brown III. The incident occurred inside a Greyhound bus station in Richmond, Virginia. A group of troopers was inside the Greyhound depot around 2:45 p.m. when a man walked up and shot one of the troopers.
The other two troopers returned fire, killing the suspect.
Trooper Dermyer was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
