Celina Edmonds is an Australian journalist, news presenter, and news reporter. She has spend the past 20 years working in TV journalism. Currently, she is a part of the Sky News Australia team, which she has been working with for twelve years so far.
Early Years
Edmonds attended Charles Sturt University's Mitchell Campus at Bathurst. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in communications. She began her career in New South Wales as a journalist on daily newspapers in Bathurst and Orange.
Career
From 1995 - 2000, Edmonds was a News presenter and reporter for Australian Broadcasting Corporation TV News.
With ABC, she worked from Hobart, Australia. She was the police and court reporter, as well as the weekend news presenter. Edmonds gained national attention for her work on the Port Arthur massacre and the court case of Martin Bryant. Edmonds moved on to Network Ten and presented the five O'Clock Evening News for Perth with co-anchor Greg Pearce. She was later promoted to the role of Social and Ethnic Affairs Reporter before becoming the late night news presenter. Edmonds worked at Network Ten for 5 years from 2000 - 2005.
Current Career
In 2005, Edmonds moved on to her present job at Sky News Australia as National Affairs Correspondent. This means that she reports on big national headlines in Australia and oversees such as The Royal Wedding, 2012 London Olympics, and the 2012 Queensland state election. In July of 2005, she became the anchor of NewsDay on SKY NEWS Live, the live rolling breaking news show from 12 noon weekdays till 4pm. In 2010, Edmonds was criticized for being a "journalist who covered a journalist covering a politician". The article stated that Sky was in desperate need of "fresh content", which led to Edmonds covering another journalist.

Edmonds was a part of the team that won a Logie Award in 1997 in "Most Outstanding Achievement in News" for their coverage of the Port Arthur Massacre.
Edmonds won an ASTRA Award (Australian Subscription Television Industry) for "Most Outstanding Performance by a Broadcast Journalist" in 2015.

She recently participated in the Wild Women On Top Sydney Coastrek challenge, which is a charity trek to raise money and awareness for eliminating avoidable blindness and improving Indigenous Australian health through The Fred Hollows Foundation.
