Celina Dubin (born 1995) to an American medical student and daughter of model Eva Andersson-Dubin and hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin.[1]
Personal Life
Celina was born to the Miss Sweden 1980 pageant winner Eva Andersson and billionaire Glenn Dubin in 1995. The couple wed in 1994 and have three children together, including Celina. Her hometown is New York, New York.[10]
Jeffrey Epstein
Eva Andersson and Jeffrey Epstein
Celina's mother, Eva Andersson is a model and doctor. She also founded the Dubin Breast Cancer Center at Mount Sinai.[15]
Eva met Jeffrey Epstein in 1981. The two quickly became a couple and spent over a decade together, with 11 years totaling their relationship before Eva married her current husband, hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin. Jeffrey started dating Ghislaine Maxwell shortly after the break from Eva.
Epstein remained a family friend for decades.
In 2009 after his release from prison for child sex crimes, the Dubins defended Jeffrey in a letter written to his probation officer. The letter, written by Eva and Glenn, stated that they felt "100% comfortable" with letting Epstein around their three young children. Celina was 14 at the time. Shortly after, the Dubins spent Thanksgiving alongside Epstein that same year in 2009. Eva also stated in the letter to the probation officer,[10]
I could not ask for a better friend or godfather to my children,”
Glenn Dubin Allegations
Glenn Dubin and his wife have been at many socialite gatherings in New York City and Palm Beach, Florida, some held by Epstein himself. Glenn has been accused of sexual abuse and called out by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein's main abusers. On August 9, 2018 in an article published for The Daily Beast, Giuffre lists the names of a few rich and powerful men that she was forced to massage or engage in sexual activity with at the request of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Alongside names like Prince Andrew, Jean-Luc Brunel, and George J. Mitchell, Glenn Dubin was listed. A spokesperson for the Dubins quickly refuted Ms. Giuffre's claims, stating,[12]
“Glenn and Eva Dubin are outraged by the allegations in the unsealed court records, which are demonstrably false and defamatory.
The Dubins have flight records and other evidence that definitively disprove that any such events occurred,"
Celina and "Uncle Jeff"
Celina referred to Epstein as her "Uncle Jeff".
She first met and started spending time with Jeffrey when she was 12 years old.
In a letter allegedly written by Celina (provided by Epstein's lawyers) that was published in an article for The Palm Beach Post, she stated,[11]
"One of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me happened about 2 years ago when I was at ballroom dancing class.
It was father-daughter dance day and unfortunately my father was stuck in a business meeting.
I didn’t know what I would do because you had to bring your father to the dance class.
I got to the class alone, but then soon enough a quick phone call to Uncle Jeff didn’t leave me standing there, alone for more than 10 minutes.
Uncle Jeff substituted for my father that night, and the way he rushed to the class felt exactly like having my father there."
If Epstein married Dubin, she would be able to possess the assets with no inheritance tax woes for Epstein.
Jeffrey went as far as making her the beneficiary of a trust he made in 2014, though she was shortly removed from the trust a year later.[10]
Education
Celina attended Harvard University and was a member of the Hasty Pudding Club, a prestigious social club at the university that had been established since the late 1700s. In 2014 she also featured in some article by The Harvard Crimson, where she was listed as one of "The 15 Hottest Freshman." The article showcased trivial information about Celina, like her favorite childhood activity ("fishing for crabs off the dock in Sweden") and what she considers an idea date: attending a sporting event and going to a nice dinner after. When asked to describe herself in three words for the publication she stated, " Swedish, Jewish, foodie." As a student, Celina stayed in the Canaday dormitory on campus.[9]
After graduating from Harvard University in 2017, Celina began attending classes at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to become a medical professional.
Jeffrey Epstein donated $50,000 to the Hasty Pudding Club at Harvard University and an additional $10,000 to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2016.[13]
