Education
Beck graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor's degree in mass communication and media studies. She went on to attend American University, receiving a Master's degree in journalism.
Career
She joined 11alive in December of 2013. Prior to joining 11alive, she was an investigative reporter at WTVR-TV from September 2009 to November 2013.
Beck also taught broadcast writing as an adjunct professor for Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall semester of 2013.
Awards
Beck won a Preservation Advocacy community award while in Richmond for her continued coverage of the city’s ignored dilapidated properties.
