Carolyn Miles is president and CEO of Save the Children, a leading independent organization inspiring breakthroughs in how the world treats children and achieving immediate and lasting change in their lives.
It has served over 85 million children in 120 countries.
Miles joined the organization in 1998 and was chief operating officer from 2004 to 2011; during that time Save the Children doubled the number of children it reached with nutrition, health, educational and other programs, and she helped increase its budget from $250 million to over $550 million.
Since 2011, when Miles became CEO and president, the organization's annual resources have grown to over $620 million.
Earlier, she worked in Hong Kong for American Express and as an entrepreneur.
Miles has served on numerous boards, including those of Blackbaud, InterAction, the U.S.
Global Leadership Coalition, the Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network and the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, where she received her M.B.A. [0]
