Carolina Cruz

Carolina Cruz Osorio (Tuluá, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, June 12, 1979) is a Colombian Model, Entrepreneur and Presenter.[1]

Career

Carolina did some modeling and reporting work for El Noticiero del Espectáculo, by Jorge Barón Television.

In 2000, she joined the RCN Channel, as host of the show Comandos with Iván Lalinde and led the presentation of the entertainment segment of Noticias RCN, with Andrea Serna.

Shortly after, she joined the cast of Muy buenos días, alongside Jota Mario Valencia and Yaneth Waldman.

After five years, and after participating in the reality show "Dancing for a dream", which she won, she decided not to return to the presentation of the magazine.

In 2007, she presented the third season of the reality show "Cambio Extremo".

Later, she created her own company, "Carolina Cruz Empresa Unipersonal" and "Carolina Cruz Joyerías y Accesorios".

There she has hired women from the Vida Nueva Foundation.

In 2012 she joined the company Oriflame, a brand sold by catalogue around the world, to distribute her brand abroad.

In the following years, she presented several programs, among which "Planeta Gente" by Nuestra Tele Noticias 24 Horas, "Justo a tiempo" and "Cita a ciegas" by RCN stand out. After thirteen years at that channel, she resigned and joined the Caracol Channel, where she has participated as a presenter in the transmissions of Miss Universe and "Colombia's Next Top Model". At the present time she is happy with her son Matías and her husband Lincoln with whom she lives in free union.

In August 2018, she joined the morning show Día a día on Caracol Televisión as a presenter. Her best friend is Paola Calle, who belongs to the small committee formed by Andrea Serna, Yaneth Waldman, Jessica de la Peña, and Ángela Cardozo.[2]

Personal

Cruz lived her childhood and adolescence in Leticia, growing up in a humble neighborhood in Cali.

In Cali she was a cheerleader and a fan of the soccer team America de Cali during her adolescence, being her first job.

In 1999, Carolina participated in Señorita Colombia, representing Valle del Cauca where she came in second place, winning the title of Miss Colombia Internacional or Virreina Nacional. The winner of the contest was Miss Cundinamarca, Catalina Acosta, the following year she represented Colombia in Miss International.

Carolina's been in a relationship with Lincoln Palomeque since 2014.

Cruz revealed that she had to go through treatments to get pregnant, as she tried for 2 years to get pregnant with her first child, until the end of 2016 at age 37 and her partner at age 39 managed to get pregnant.
