Carnell Snell Jr. was shot dead by LAPD on October 1, 2016.

On October 1, 2016, the shooting of Snell occurred after a Pursuit of a Stolen vehicle in south Los Angeles, California.

^[1]A Handgun was also recovered at the scene.

Officers had spotted a car with paper plates and tried to stop it, thinking the vehicle may have been stolen, at 108th Street and Western Avenue.

When the driver of the vehicle failed to stop, officers began a pursuit.

2 passengers got out of the car near Western and 106th Street, and officers ran after them.

Snell was chased towards the back of a house on 107th street, where Police shot him.

According to witnesses, Snell had his hands up in the air when he was shot.
