Carly Bowie (December 20, 1996 - December 20, 2016) was a resident of Ormond Beach, Florida. [1]

Death

On December 20, 2016, Bowie was found dead in the Tomoka River after a night out celebrating her 21st birthday. [1] She was last heard from around 5.15am when she called her family to inform them that she was about 10 minutes away from her home. [1]

Investigators believe poor driving conditions, fog and darkness might have led Bowie to crash into the bridge on North Beach Street and plunge into the Tomoka River. [1]

The crash remains is under investigation.
