Carli Sue Bybel (born October 17, 1990) is an American YouTuber, beauty vlogger, and makeup artist from New Jersey.

Carli Bybel was raised in Howell, New Jersey. ^[11] She, along with her parents and older sister, lived in a small one-bedroom apartment when she was a toddler. They eventually moved into a much bigger house after her father’s glass business become a huge success; she recalls having a swimming pool, a trampoline, and a built-in movie theater. ^[11]

Growing up, her passions involved horses and tending to her family’s horse ranch.

Despite the fact that she was allergic to horses, she and her dad would go trail riding on the weekends.

During her high school years, she was a cheerleader. She also got her first job on her 16th birthday working at Starbucks. ^[11] She worked there for 3 years. ^[16]

During the end of her junior year, her parents began fighting drastically.

She recalls being pressured by her mom and feeling completely separated from her dad at the time.

The couple divorced soon thereafter, with her father moving to Florida with his girlfriend.

At the end her junior year of high school, Carli Bybel discovered a love for beauty and makeup.

^[21] She started her own business, doing freelance hair and makeup, helping her think less about her family issues and the rumors spread about her at school.

As a high school cheerleader at the time, she received clients fast during her high school cheerleading days, as lots of girls she knew already loved how she did her makeup.

After graduating in 2009, she got her first official makeup job at a photography studio in a mall.

She quit within a few months, as she did not appreciate the way her boss treated her and her co-workers.

While she was searching for other opportunities, she continued her freelance makeup work and started a job at a golf course to help pay for bills.

After she quit, she decided to live with her dad in Florida.

After two weeks, she went back to New Jersey.

In December 2019, Bybel shared an inside look at her beauty space and shoe closet in a video called "MY NEW BEAUTY ROOM / SHOE CLOSET TOUR 2019!" She decorated the joint space with quartz countertops, giant mirrors, white cabinets, and regal chairs.

Inside, she stores her collection of designer shoes, of which she has hundreds, from brands like Christian Louboutin and Giuseppe Zanotti. She also showcased her vanity filled with hundreds of beauty products, though most of her makeup is stored in an adjacent, walk-in cosmetics closet.^[50]

In April 2020, Bybel was added by United Talent Agency to its digital creator arsenal. The talent agency will represent Bybel in all areas of her career on a global basis.^[49]

One night in October 2010, Carli ran into someone from her high school named Samantha Morales at a New York City club. They eventually became really good friends and started hanging out frequently. ^[11]

In August 2011, after having conversations about what they wanted to do with their lives, they both decided they wanted to run Youtube channels; Carli became an online makeup artist and Sam became a DJ. ^[11]

After uploading videos on the platform and spreading her name on social media, Carli starting gaining more attraction and booking appointments regularly from returning customers.

Sometime around March 2012, she reached the 100,000 subscriber milestone.

It was at that point when she considered herself to be a social media influencer and a role model for other people, realizing that she could make a positive impacts on people’s lives by helping them feel better on the inside through outward appearance. ^[11]

As of May 2020, Bybel has over 6.2 million followers on her YouTube channel.^[2]

As of May 2020, Bybel has over 4.9 million followers on her Instagram account, where she posts her work and daily life photos as well as new videos announcements. She also has over 562,000 followers on her Twitter account.^[3][13]

In 2017, Carli Bybel started working at Pranava Beauty.

As the CEO of the platform, she plans on using it to share vegan, cruelty-free products that she loves and has personally created for her fans. ^[12]

On October 17, 2017, her 27th birthday, Bybel launched her CarliBybelxMissguided collection.

Carli will use her voice to encourage girls across the globe to fulfill their dream of receiving an advanced education.

Using the proceeds from her charity bracelets, she is providing a full scholarship at the Bright Hope Institute in Cambodia.

In July 2019, Bybel dropped the news that she would be collaborating with beauty brand Il Makiage to create a lip collection.

Bybel shared the news on Instagram along with a picture of herself in a purple sequined tube dress on a purple galaxy background captioned:

The collaboration, which includes three ultra-matte lipsticks, three lip liners and three high-shine lip glosses sold either separately or as bundles, launched August 8, 2020 in universally flattering nude, pink and red hues.^[52]

On October 7, 2019, Bybel and Anastasia Beverly Hills launched a 12-shade eye shadow palette. Anastasia is a long-time favorite brand of Bybel's, plus she'd already developed a friendship with the brand's primary figures, Anastasia and Claudia Soare.^[36]

From there on, it took just over a year to nail down the palette's packaging, color scheme, and formula, all of which Bybel wanted to be to very hands-on with.

The palette itself beckons images of fairytale landscapes with an array of matte, metallic, shimmer, and duo-chrome finishes in neutral, pink, and purple hues, all wrapped up in shiny, embossed packaging that's drastically different from the brand's signature velvet casing.^[36]

As of November 2019, Carli has 6.2 million suscribers on Youtube, where she posts makeup tutorials, workout tutorials, Q&As and other videos. She also has 5 million followers on Instagram.^[3][38]

Carli has a sister named Amanda, who is 2 ½ years younger than she is.

She met her best friend, Nicole, in 5th grade.

Carli dated Brett Caprioni, a fitness trainer on YouTube, from 2013 until 2017.

According to Instagram, Carli is currently dating Anthony Tango, who is a barber. She introduced him as her boyfriend in February 2020.^[48]

Her mother was previously engaged to a tattoo artist in the late 70’s/early 80’s.

She broke off the engagement after he tattooed her face on his arm.
