Carl Conyers
Carl Conyers
Carl Conyers is a student at the University of Houston and the youngest son of U.S. Rep. John Conyers of Michigan.
Disappearance and Finding
On November 16, 2016 Carl Conyers was reported missing to the Houston Police Dept. He had last been seen Tuesday afternoon by his roommate at their apartment in South Central Houston. Police said he had shaven a beard he’d been seen wearing in a handout photo.
By Wednesday morning, the student’s girlfriend said Carl was no longer answering his phone, KHOU reported. Conyer’s roommates said he left his wallet and phone in his room and seemed “stressed” about school on Tuesday night, the station reported via Twitter. Private Texas firm Equusearch was involved Thursday, searching the area near the apartment. That same day, Carl sent his girlfriend a Twitter direct message saying simply "I'm OK."
On November 18, 2016 Carl Conyers was found unharmed and safe at his apartment complex in the 3700 block of Southmore around 1 a.m. by the University of Houston Police Department. On November 17, 2016 the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Secret Service joined in the search for Carl. [1]
