Burcak Keskin Kozat is a dignified Director of Finance & Operations in History Department who manages the department's operational, financial, and human resources in close collaboration with department chair, vice chair, committees, and staff. Her work primarily focuses on faculty affairs, budget forecasting & planning, and collaboration with internal and external entities.

Work Experience

Burcak Keskin Kozat has served as an Associate Director in Stanford Global Studies Division, where she helped develop academic programming, communications strategy, and strategic planning for Center for South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies, and the Mediterranean Studies Forum. She also served as an Associate Director of University Corporate & Foundation Relations, where she helped develop and implement a foundation relations plan across Stanford schools and in collaboration with faculty, university staff, and external partners.

Education

Burcak Keskin Kozat received her B.A. in Political Science & Public Administration at Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey), in 1998. She earned her M.A. in Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, in 1999 and later bagged her Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2006.[1]
