Ryan Thomas is an American Drill rapper and songwriter who was born on the 20th of June, 1991. He is popularly known by his stage name BuDouble. He's a member of TFG, a set of the Gangster Disciples gang and a native of Illinois, Chicago[1]
Career
He became interested in music when he was nine and uploaded his first song to YouTube in early 2014, he learnt quickly and was rapping when he was in the fifth-grade. He is part of the TGF gang and has released three albums.
Personal
He has two brothers, a rapper named Shaquon Thomas, famously recognized as Young Pappy and TaySav (aka Tay Savage, Tay Da Producer), who is a rapper, songwriter, and producer.[3]
He and his brothers grew up in Chicago. He has a son named Damian. Budouble is passionate about Basketball.
Young Pappy's Death
On the 29th of May 2015, it was a Friday morning, BuDouble’s brother Young Pappy, born Shaquon Thomas, was gunned down, the “Shooters” rapper succumbed to two gunshot wounds to his back in Uptown.
He was taken to Advocate Masonic Medical Center but had lost a lot of blood, he was pronounced dead afterwards.[2] A death which was blamed on the tragic gang war plaguing Chicago at that time. Few months before his death, the brothers both did a collaboration on the song titled "Whip It".
September 13, 2015
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, the sounds a sporadic shootings was heard Uptown neighborhood on the City’s North Side, in the 1200 block of West Ainslie.
Budouble was shot nine times and was left struggling on the floor in a pool of blood.
He was hit on the right side of his torso and leg, but managed to get himself to Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital. [4] He is widely recognized for his track titled "I Ain't Going". which was released after his recovery.
