Bryson's Dictionary of Troublesome Words, published in 1984 and 2004, is a book written by famed travel writer Bill Bryson.

First written in 1984 when Bryson was working for The Times newspaper, Bryson felt a need for an easy and accessible guide on how to use troublesome words. Now revised in 2004, and somewhat Americanised, Bryson in his usual witty humour details how to use many words that even famed writers have been known to get wrong. There is help with many words with examples of how to use them, a pronunciation guide and articulately written in Bryson's entertaining style.[1][2]
