He explains that he must act like a grown up in order to help Prle and Tihi.
Tihi and Prle go to a river island where they meet Skale, high ranking Party official. He gives them order to conduct their last mission - blow up shipyard and use confusion to get to the Partisan unit through Skale's unit.
Next day Prle goes to shipyard where he meets its manager, engineer Ristić, an old acquaintance of Skale.
He asks him to give him the faciliy's locations where explosives would make the most damage.
Ristić is reluctant at first, telling Prle that the he had built shipyard and that it was his life's work and argues that it should be preserved for the use after liberation while workers shouldn't lose their jobs.
Prle answers that the workers can find job by repairing damage.
Gestapo officer enters the office during their conversation, but Ristić refuses to make an alarm, thus signaling his willingness to co-operate with resistance plans.
Prle, again acting as shoeshiner, meets Pera Uvce, his Special Police contact in front of Special Police headquarters. They briefly discuss Special Police chief Krsta Mišić and plans to take him out. Prle tells that him and Major Krieger would be taken care of this evening.
Before the mission, Čibi tries to talk Tihi and Prle into joining but they refuse, making Čibi steal two hand grenades by himself.
Tihi says farewell to Čibi, while Prle says farewell to his mother Anđa.
While this happens, Pera Uvce is scolded by his wife while lying on sofa with shoes on; he angrily gets up and leaves home, telling wife that he is "going to throw grenades".
Tihi and Prle discuss their fallen comrades and friends, with Tihi having bad feeling about the mission; Prle tries to cheer him up by exchanging their caps, claiming that his own cap brought him luck many times.
In the evening Krieger is kissing his secretary Erika before joining Mišić and going to the meeting in the shipyard, where they should discuss security.
In the car both Krieger and Mišić seem in good mood, claiming that the resistance cell can be "written off".
Their car is ambushed by Pera Uvce and Čibi who throw hand grenades, forcing it to stop.
Germans get out and open fire wounding Pera Uvce; he tells Čibi to run and he does so.
Tihi and Prle are joined by Kosinus, who will again using his bomb-making skills to set up explosives in the shipyard.
Prle and Tihi manage to take out three German guards, allowing Kosinus to set up bombs.
Kosinus is detected and killed by German officer and the gunfight erupts.
Prle and Tihi leave the shipyard but they are pursued by Germans.
Prle gets hit in leg, while Tihi is grazed in the head with Prle's lucky cap saving his life.
Both men manage to cross the pond before German dogs can pick their trail.
They reach their hiding place when they are attended by Milica.
They hear the sound of the truck and think they have been detected by Germans, but they are relieved to see car mechanic Žile.
Čibi explains that he can't play harmonica and thus failed to make signal for Žile's arrival.
