Career
Whetzel came originally from Washington, D.C. She attended Clemson University. Whetzel previously taught in the Upstate at Boiling Springs High School.
In the Media
On Monday April 16, 2018, Whetzel was arrested at her Lady's Island (South Carolina) home on allegations of sexually assaulting two students at her home.
She is charged with two counts of sexual battery and three counts of Transfer of Beer or Wine for an Underage Person's Consumption. Whetzel and Akina Andrews, a media assistant, were placed on administrative leave prior to their arrest.
