Brita Roy, MD, MPH

Brita Roy, MD, MPH

Brita Roy, MD, MPH, MHS is an Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine and the Director of Population Health for the Yale Medical Group. She researches on ways to reduce disparities in health via promotion of positive psychosocial and community health assets. She is investigating mechanisms underlying the relationship between chronic stress and disease, as well as developing a comprehensive assessment of and actionable framework for community well-being.

Dr. Roy earned a Bachelors Degree and Masters degree in Biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University and Wayne State University, respectively. She then went on to the University of Michigan to pursue a combined MD/MPH in Health Behavior and Health education. Dr. Roy subsequently completed residency training in Internal medicine and served as Chief Medical Resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham prior to completing the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at Yale University.
