On Sunday April 8, 2018, Briana and Shalymar Herrera were killed in a car crash that occurred in Shelton, Connecticut.

A Mini Cooper was traveling southbound on River Road when it crashed into a Saturn traveling northbound around at 7:00 p.m. local time.
