Brian Velasco (1977 - January 16, 2019) ^[1] was a Filipino musician based in Manila. He was best known as being a drummer for Razorback. On Wednesday January 16, 2019 Velasco committed suicide while streaming on Facebook Live. ^{[1] [0]}

Velasco joined Razorback in 1996. Following the success of their second albumBeggar’s Moon, the group has opened for bands such as Rage Against the Machine and Metallica. ^[1]

While streaming on Facebook Live, Velasco jumped off the 34th floor of a roof deck in Malate, Manila. He told his viewers "I’m going to go now" before saluting his band mates. ^[-1]

He then stands up and leans over the edge before finally saying "here I go" and plunging to his death.

His b ody was found on a safety canopy on the ground floor around 9:45 a.m. local time.
