Breaker Magazine is an American online publication that covers topics and news related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Breaker reports on tech's most fascinating innovators, groundbreakers, and lawbreakers in the space.
In July, 2018, Breaker was launched with Ben Schiller acting as the editor-in-chief. Julia Herbst is the publication's staff editor. Other editors and writers on the Breaker staff include, Erin Schulte, Brian Patrick Eha, Mark Yarm, Jessica Klein, David Morris, Jeff Wilser, and Rob Dozier.
The publication's coverage of cryptocurrency and blockchain often has a cultural angle in which criticism and insights bestow a better idea of how the projects and the people involved in them operate. For example, contributor Jessica Klein has a segment in the publication titled, "Ask Alice", and one of the topics covered is titled: "Ask Alice: How to Survive A Crypto Event Full of Bros", in which women in the blockchain space ask her questions regarding handling events.
Other articles include: "Meltem Demirors and the Problem of 'Skin in the Game'"; "Bitcoin in Budapest: Zombies, Survivalists, and $60 Million Pizza"; and, "These “Crypto” Terms Will Be Obsolete One to 10 Years From Now".
