Brandon Theesfeld is an American student who has been arrested for the alleged murder of Alexandria Kostial.^[2]

Theesfeld is a Fort Worth, Texas native and is also a senior at the University of Mississippi. Police have not released details about how Theesfeld and Kostial knew each other, or if they did. And there is currently no motive known for the shooting. ^[2]

Brandon Theesfeld was taken into custody just before 3:45 p.m. on Monday, July 22, according to jail records.

He has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Kostial, who was from St. Louis, Missouri, was discovered shot eight times and then her body was put in a nearby river.

Theesfeld graduated from San Marcos Academy, a private Baptist boarding school in 2016 before attending Ole Miss. Online records show Theesfeld was arrested in Walton County, Florida, in 2015 on a misdemeanor charge of possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21, but it was later stricken from his record.
