Boonsri Dickinson Srinivasan is a high-tech indie filmmaker and journalist, who uses the newest camera systems embedded in drones, Google Glass, GoPro, the iPhone, as well as other more traditional cameras, to produce short-form documentaries and movies. Boonsri's innovative filmmaking approach has been covered by Scientific American, TechCrunch, and CNET. [23][24]
Boonsri is also a digital artist who makes pieces examining the culture and impact of technologies including social media, cryptocurrency, and virtual reality.
Previously, Boonsri worked as a technology reporter for Business Insider and CNET. While writing for high profile technology publications, Boonsri explored startups and venture capital funding, as well as uncovered the inspiration behind the greatest discoveries made by Silicon Valley’s top entrepreneurs. While working on staff at Discover, Boonsri wrote feature stories about a dinosaur digging expedition in Montana with paleontologist Jack Horner, her experience as a guinea pig when her DNA was tested by 23andMe, and about rising entrepreneurs such as Jack Dorsey. She also interviewed Mahbod Moghadam about Genius in 2014. On December 6, 2015, Boonsri Dickinson Srinivasan married Balaji Srinivasan, a technology entrepreneur and executive, in San Francisco, California.
