Blayne Rezac was a 16-year-old from Lincoln, Nebraska. ^[2]

Blayne grew up in Lincoln and attended Lincoln North Star High School. ^[2]He was going to be an incoming junior in the fall of 2017. ^[1]Blayne had a wide range of interests and took a keen interest for hockey and the theater. ^[1]He was recently in his school's rendition of the Wizard of Oz. ^[3]In his free time, Blayne enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Blayne is remembered for his infectious smile, kindness, and always being up for new experiences. ^[2]

On the morning of August 30th, Blayne was involved in a multi-vehicle crash when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed the median.

Blayne died at the scene while six other people were injured.

Police are investigating the crash.

A candlelight ceremony will be taking place at 8:30 pm at 84th and Havelock in honor of Blayne.
