Henry Bennett is a 19 year-old from Belle Glade, Florida who attended the University of Florida, he also worked at Motor Club of America.

On January 16, 2016, Bennett was fatally shot by Palm Beach County officer, Andrew Cano.

According to police reports, On January 16th, 2016 at around 11 a.m, a woman whom Bennett was in the car with was pulled over on a routine traffic stop by Andrew Cano.Shortly

after the stop while Cano was climbing out of his car, Bennett exited the car and began to run away; According to Cano's statement, he shouted “Stop” twice and “Get on the ground” while chasing Bennett. After

a short chase, Bennett reportedly turned toward Cano with a gun in his hand and pointed it directly at him. Cano

immediately responded to the threat by shooting Bennett twice. ^[1]

Bennett's family claims that he was a family-oriented person and would never do such a thing.

In a report, they compared Bennett to Trayvon Martin and called Andrew Cano racist.
