Bethany Renee Nava is an 18-year old resident of North Hollywood who was forcibly removed from a Los Angeles train by a Police officer for having her feet set on the seats. ^{[0] [1]}

Nava is a native of Los Angeles and has been a resident of North Hollywood for several years. She is currently a senior in high school. ^[1]

On Monday afternoon, January 22nd, 2018, while Nava rode the train with her feet placed on one of the seats, a police sergeant came by and eventually forced her out of the train.

A struggle ensued as Nava tried to stay inside of the train as the police officer tried to explain to her that she violated a train code.

The conflict between the police officer, Nava, and another bystander with an angry disposition toward's the officer's took place at the Westlake/MacArthur Park station.

The episode between the police officer and Nava was caught on video by a bystander named, Brock Bryan.

In the video, the officer says the following to Nava as he begins to try and escort her out: "I already told you what to do and you didn't," he said.

"You disobeyed me.

• You're getting off the train."

Once he begins to grab her arm and lead her outside, another girl named, Selina Lechuga, began to berate the cop for the ill treatment of the rider, Nava.

Lechuga spat and cursed at the cop.

In the latter moments of the video, the cop and the two girls have a talk.

Lechuga is then seen being arrested.
