Beth Fouhy

Beth Anne Fouhy (born January 10, 1962) is an American journalist based in New York, New York. She is the senior editor of politics at NBC News and MSNBC. [1]

Early Life & Education

Beth Fouhy attended Mamaroneck High School in Westchester County, New York. She subsequently graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor's degree in English and Literature. During her summers in college, she was a singing waitress and chambermaid.

Career

Her first job in news was at CNN, as a booker for the talk show Crossfire. She was previously senior editor at Yahoo! and a political reporter at the Associated Press .

Personal Life

Beth Fouhy's father, Ed Fouhy, was a news producer and executive at CBS, NBC, and ABC. He was also the chairman of theConcord Communications Group, a television production company in Washington, D.C. Her mother, Barbara Fouhy, was an agent with Waters Travel Service.

On September 5, 1992, Beth married her husband Joseph H. Marty.

He is a nuclear proliferation specialist at the United States Department of State.

She is an advocate for reducing plastic pollution and marine debris, particularly straws and bags.

She also enjoys musical theatre.
