The incubator takes no equity, and charges no fees.

SkyDeck combines Silicon Valley acceleration with the massive resources of UC Berkeley.

This unique ecosystem, coupled with SkyDeck’s mentorship program, gives startups the opportunity to launch and compete with industry leaders.

Their motto is "Bring Us Your Moonshot Ideas", and they have created the incubator in good faith that the companies which go through the incubation will one day donate their time and money to the SkyDeck.

SkyDeck is a joint venture of UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, the Haas School of Business, and the Vice Chancellor for Research Office.

Every six months, startups rotate out of the program, with many opportunities to network with venture capitalists and like-minded entrepreneurs.

SkyDeck has helped create 11 members of Forbes' 30 under 30 list.

Among these are founders of Eko.

SkyDeck is in the process of setting up the SkyFund.

This fund will provide investment for SkyTeams, allowing SkyDeck to invest directly in the startups that it incubates.
