In December 2016, Barber became the first person ever sentenced to prison under Revenge porn laws for posting videos of himself and his ex-girlfriend having sex. He claims that she had attempted to blackmail him with the video before he posted the video online for all to see. ^[0]

After he was sentenced to 6 months in jail and 5 years of probation for five counts of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image, Barber defended himself to newscasters.
