Barry Petchesky is an American writer and editor based in New York City. He is a former editor at Deadspin. ^{[1] [2]}

Petchesky completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. He went on to attend Columbia University, receiving a Master's degree in 2007. ^[4]

He joined Deadspin in July 2009.

Petchesky was let go by the publication in October 2019.
