The show was created in July of 2017, after two friends, Joel Comm and Travis Wright came together in fascination for learning about cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies. ^[2]

After only three weeks since their debut, they ranked 15th out of 55 shows with the most downloads in the investment categories on iTunes. ^[3] ^[5]

As of November 2019, they have released more than 280 episodes.

The Bad Crypto Podcast has hosted blockchain industry leaders and influencers including John McAfee, Laura Shin, Brock Pierce, Vinny Lingham, Desiree Dickerson. ^[10]
