Azadeh Namdari is a television presenter for Iranian state television. She is known for being a center of media attention in the Middle East after she was pictured not wearing a Hijab while on vacation in Switzerland. ^[0]

While vacationing in Switzerland on July 24, 2017, Namdari was photographed in Switzerland without a hijab and drinking beer, two things that are frowned upon in her country of residence, Iran. ^[0] As her employer is the conservative, this created a lot of backlash on social media and spread through the media quite rapidly. In response, she released a video stating that, at the time the image was taken, her hijab had flown off in the wind. She did not mention anything about the beer she was drinking. ^[1]
