In an interview to Yourtango.com she said:

“Being in New York, I saw [comedy] was a thing that people were actually making a living doing.

I was meeting black women who were making it.

So I thought, ‘Okay, why not give this a shot?’”

Ayo Edebiri graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2017. [13]

Ayo’s performed in readings, musicals and improv shows at places like UCB, Union Hall, Dixon Place and Ars nova.
