Ayhan said the motive for his suicide was that his daughter had gotten engaged without asking him for permission first.

He felt that her father-in-law had replaced him.

Ayhan was also upset that he only received a telephone call about the engagement.

He said “I am livestreaming tonight, and it is my will, I do not want the ones who put me in this position to attend my funeral", referring to his family.
