Aushena Warren is the mother of Audrick Warren and is married to Roderick Warren.

Warren suffers from bipolar disorder and has to take medications. ^[8]

On June 13, 2017, Kansas City Police responded to a home in the 5800 block of North London Ave. on a report of a dead body. ^{[8] [0]}When officers arrived they found Audrick Warren dead at the scene. ^{[8] [0]}

Roderick stated that he left the residence for work that morning and that Audrick and his brother were asleep when he left, and the only other person in the house was Aushena.

At about 11:30 a.m., Roderick received a FaceTime call from his other child in the house, stating that Aushena had left the house. He returned to the home and found Audrick deceased in an upstairs bathroom wearing underwear and Spiderman socks. ^{[8] [0]}

Roderick then moved Audrick out of the water and into a nearby bedroom.

He also found a note from Aushena explaining that the family’s financial struggles were her fault and how she feared the children would be taken by the state and given out for adoption. ^{[8] [0]}

In an interview with Audrick's brother, he stated that he heard a head bump three times at some point that morning.

He also stated that his mother gave him and his brother a pink liquid that morning, and that she was running water in the bathroom for a long time.

After leaving his room, the boy apparently found Audrick under the water with a red face and purple hands.

He said his mother left the house looking sad without telling him where she was going.

Aushen jumped off the Kit Bond Bridge at about 9:42 a.m. that morning, where emergency crews were already in the area performing a training exercise in that area of the Missouri River. Workers pulled her to safety. ^{[8] [0]}

She remains in custody at the Platte County Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 cash only bond charged with felony for abandonment of a corpse. ^{[0] [8]}

An autopsy revealed a contusion on the back of the Audrick's skull. His cause of death was determined to be drowning. ^{[8] [0]}
