Attrell Cordes (Prince Be)
Attrell Cordes (b.
May 19, 1970) better known by his stage name Prince Be, is a hip hop artist and a member of the rap group P.M Dawn. Before finding success in as a rapper he worked as a security guard and a DJ. The group was very poplar in the early '90s and are best known for their #1 hit "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss." [1]
Prince Be and his brother Jarret Cordes who is also a member of P.M Dawn both grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. Their stepfather, George Brown belonged to a rhythm and blues, disco, and jazz group called Kool and the Gang. [1]
Death
On Friday June 17, 2016 Prince Be died at the age of 46 at his home in passed away Friday at his New Jersey home from renal kidney disease at 46 years old.
He also suffered from diabetes.
