Gervais had been reported missing by her family on February 26, 2018.
She was last seen leaving her school in the city’s Fabreville district at lunchtime that day, but did not return to class or home.
Firefighters found her body in a stream behind the school just after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday March 1, 2018.
