Background
Ashan Ortell is a 57-year-old man who kept sexts sent between his teenage stepdaughter and her boyfriend because he wanted police to intervene.
When Ashan turned the texts in (which included nude images) he was convicted of possessing child pornography and placed on the sex offenders register.
